
BET’s “The Ms Pat Show” was just officially renewed for a 4th season and we’re so happy that the show will return!
The 3rd season debuted February 23rd on BET+.
The Emmy nominated series is based on Ms. Pat’s real life story of going from an Atlanta teen mom and former convicted felon to a suburban Indiana mom, has illustrated the family’s ups and downs.
In Season 3, Ms. Pat is opening for one of her comedy heroes on a stand-up tour while still juggling her family life. According to the official announcement, as in its previous seasons, Season 3 will combine real-life issues using humor, leaving viewers wondering “Did she just say that?” and answering “Oh yes, they went there.”
About the upcoming 4th season:
“It’s going to be another great and funny season and we’re so excited,” Williams shared with Deadline. “I don’t want to give anything away but as you know, we’re always challenging ourselves. What I will say is that Season 4 will be better than prior seasons.”
Patricia Williams also shared that work on Season 4 was set to begin the week the WGA called for a strike as the AMPTP declined to negotiate terms. The comedian said The Ms. Show team is “just waiting” now for a fair deal. “We’re ready to get back to work,” she said.
The cast and crew supported the strike.

The Ms. Pat Show, co-created alongside fellow EP Jordan E. Cooper, lifts from Williams’ life experiences covered in her memoir Rabbit: The Autobiography of Ms. Pat, which tells the story of a drug dealer and convicted felon turned suburban mom.
